Art Parties must be scheduled two weeks in advance to party date. The first step in scheduling an art party is completing the online interest form. Once completed, we will call to confirm receipt, answer questions, and to process a half deposit to reserve your party.
A non-refundable deposit must be paid to reserve an art party. The deposit is half of the total cost of the party. Party costs are based on the number of guests. The remainder of the total cost is due on the party date. Payment is only required for the number of guests who attend and/or the minimum payment of $120/per party.
When you reserve an art party (following submitting an online interest form and processing your half deposit), you will pick your party date/time and theme. The CVA will then schedule an instructor to teach the art portion of the party. The instructor will teach one to two projects based upon the chosen theme. Prior to your party, this instructor will contact you to discuss the projects and schedule for your party.
Art Parties are scheduled for 2 hours. Each schedule varies based on the party host's requests. Typically, an hour to 1.5 hours is allotted for the art portion of the party and a hour to 30 minutes is scheduled for food, cake, presents, games, etc. at the end of each party. Parties should end promptly at the end of the 2 hour mark.
Our Art Parties are held in one of our 9 visual art studios located in the Greensboro Cultural Center. The studios vary in arrangement, but all include tables, chairs, and sinks. Studios for parties are choosen based on age group and theme (i.e. pottery parties are held in our Pottery Studio, preschool aged parties in our Preschool Studio).
The peppiest of our CVA Instructors are our Art Party Facilitators. They are assigned to parties based on the age of the party guests and the chosen party theme. Art Party Facilitators arrive 30 minutes prior to your party start time to set-up. Party hosts are welcome to arrive 15 - 20 minutes prior to their party to set-up.
The CVA provides the instructor, studio space, and all art supplies for the party. Party hosts may bring additional decorations, food & drink, party favors, presents, etc. Don't forget your utensils and paper products!
If there is inclement weather when an art party is scheduled, the host of the party may cancel the party and reschedule it for the following week if there is availablity. The party host must contact the scheduled CVA instructor no later than 1 hour prior to the party start time to cancel. The party host is required to contact all guests to inform of cancellation.
Deposits are non-refundable. There is no other additional charge for cancelling an art party. Rescheduling an art party ensues a $50 non-refundeable fee.
